Running
a Tournament
- Make sure that you are registered as a Pit
Boss for the store where the tournament is being held.
- Schedule the Tournament
through Cheese Weasel Logistics as well as follow any event registration
procedures for your store.
- Show up on time to run the tournament. Bring tournament forms and
promo cards (if registered in time).
- Distribute promo cards equitably among the tournament participants.
These cards can be used during the tournament if the player so chooses.
- Explain the rules and structure of the tournament.
- Set up the pairings for each round of tournament play.
- After the tournament has ended, record the top three winners and be
sure to include the Aliases for each player. If a player does not have
an Alias, be sure that they know they must register to receive Ranking
and Favor Points. You can ask them to register
and contact you with their Alias or take the appropriate information
and offer to register them yourself.
- Report the results of the tournament through the Submit
Rankings page.
Playing the Tournament
- Each game is played with 2 players, unless indicated differently
by the tournament description.
- Each game lasts 30 minutes.
- If there is no winner at the end of the 30 minutes, a winner is determined
by who has the most gold. If there is still a tie, both players will
advance to the next level. The tie is recorded as 1/2 of a win.
- Tournaments are single elimination.
- A tournament winner is the person with the most wins. If there is
a tie for a ranking position, the tieing participants play an additional
game to determine the final ranking.
